What the British flange is
The British-pattern face on this 56 frame motor has four slots on a 139.7 mm circle around a 120.65 mm spigot. It is a different pattern from the American 56C face, which uses tapped holes on a 149.2 mm circle. Older UK and Commonwealth machinery, and some pumps, use the British pattern. Measure your mounting before ordering.

Installation
- Fit with the flange bolts evenly tightened, and support the motor if the mating face is light.
- Electrical work by a licensed electrician, following the nameplate diagram.
