What This Switch Box Does

This is a motor control enclosure that houses a push-button start/stop circuit with an internal 20 A relay for single-phase 240 V motors. The momentary (self-releasing) button activates a relay that holds power to the motor — press Start to run, press Stop to cut power. The spring-return buttons release as soon as your finger lifts, making this compliant for hydraulic hoist and lifting equipment control where a latching switch would be a safety hazard.

Why 20A Relay Is Rated 3kW, Not 4.8kW

A 20 A relay at 240 V has a theoretical maximum of 4.8 kVA. The 3 kW rating accounts for two real-world factors: single-phase induction motor power factor (typically 0.7–0.85), and the relay's continuous duty thermal rating vs its instantaneous switching capacity. A single-phase 3 kW motor draws approximately 14–16 A at full load, leaving a comfortable margin in the 20 A relay. Attempting to run a 4 kW motor on this box risks relay overheating and contact welding.

RETURNS POLICY

1- All our products come with 1 year warranty, unless stated otherwise. Stated clearly on the tax invoice.
2- All warranty/return items must accompany by a return approval (RA) note. Please contact us via email, or telephone to obtain a return approval.
We do this to minimize errors and misunderstanding.
3- Any item returned without an RA note will not be looked at or contact and would eventually be discarded. This will cause delay to your warranty claim.

We will not be responsible for any loss incurred by the buyer sending an unmarked item to our store. The Buyer will need to bare all costs in processing the returned item.
