About the IP66 rating
IP66 is a rating under IEC 60529: the first 6 means dust-tight, the second 6 means protected against powerful water jets from any direction. The rating only holds if every cable entry is sealed with a gland of the same rating or better.
Choosing the material
Stainless 304 is the pick for wash-down rooms, outdoor walls and anywhere a painted box would rust where it gets scratched. For marine or chemical exposure, ask us first.
