About the IP66 rating
An IP66 enclosure is dust-tight and resists strong jets of water, so it suits wash-down areas, outdoor walls and dusty workshops. Drill your entries carefully and fit IP-rated glands, or the rating is lost.
Material
Powder-coated steel suits dry and sheltered locations at a lower price than stainless. Keep the coating intact around drilled holes.

Keeping it dry inside
Temperature swings can make moisture form inside any sealed enclosure. Mount it out of direct sun where you can, and leave drives and contactors room to shed heat.
