Dust and water rating
Under IP66 the box keeps out all dust and stands up to hosing with powerful water jets. Any hole you drill must be sealed with a suitable cable gland to keep that protection.
Choosing the material
Choose 304 stainless where the box will be washed down or rained on. It needs no paint. Talk to us first for coastal or chemical sites.
The same 300 × 300 × 200 mm size is also available in powder-coated steel.
Other sizes
Sizes available in 304 stainless steel (mm): 200×250×150, 200×300×200, 300×400×200, 300×400×250. Allow spare space for wiring and heat.
Planning the layout
Lay the components out on paper at full size before drilling. Keep cable entries on the bottom face where possible, so water runs away from the glands.

Good to know
- Fix it to solid structure, not plasterboard alone.
- Use rated cable glands on all entries to keep the IP rating.
- Wiring inside the enclosure must be done by a licensed electrician.
